Bottled exclusively for Alberta, this 24 year old BenRiach was distilled in 1997 and matured in a Bourbon Barrel (#14493) before bottling in 2022 at a cask strength of 56.5%. Selected by Rachel Barrie, only 176 total bottles have been released!

Nose: decadent, creamy, and fruity with subtle spice; creamed honey, clotted cream, and creme brule; orange pith, dried apricot, and honey dew melon; nutty and toasty with almond brittle.
Palate: creamy, sweet, and fruity with juicy malt; a base of buttery toasted oak with decadent spices; more clotted cream, creme brule, and creamed honey; the fruits start in the citrus/orchard range, but evolve into more tropical ones like green mango and pineapple; Earl Grey Tea icecream and toasted marshmallows to round things out; sliced ginger and cinnamon hearts.
Finish: warming, spicy, and toasty, the finish is long, coating the palate with fading fruits and sweet creamy treats.
Comment: bottled just shy of a quarter century in fresh Bourbon, this whisky is bright and lively with a creamy backbone and loads of fruit tones; a beautiful cask!

Nose: Honeyed almond and molasses in tonka bean syrup, with raisin ice cream
and bitter orange.
Palate: Sun dried raisin, vanilla and coconut ice, with dark manuka honey, orange
and lemon.

It is a treat to find it so perfectly expressed, aged 31 years, in these high-quality Bourbon barrels: all the hallmarks of a classic fruit-driven, floral Benriach, with rich caramel and cinder (a nod to the dark) delivered by the casks.”

This limited edition Glengoyne has been released to celebrate the younger core range Glengoyne White Oak bottling. It was matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels and virgin oak casks before bottling at 47.8%. This isn't your typical sherried Glengoyne, but it is a good opportunity to sample the distillery's spirit.

"In celebration of this new permanent addition to the Glengoyne range, White Oak, we're also releasing a very special limited edition 24 year old as part of the White Oak range. 24 Year Old is matured in American First Fill Bourbon and Virgin Oak casks. At 47.8% this 24 year old is rich with vanilla, lemon curd and honey, this whisky is gently balanced with intriguing depth, bright lemon and key lime pie. Honeycomb and soft oak warms the palate giving way to a long and well aged finish of delicate citrus and lingering oak. This is a limited release that will not return once sold out. White Oak 24 year old will be available to buy online and at selected global specialist retailers."
