Hungary’s most widely planted white grape variety is Olaszrizling (which translates as “Italian Riesling”). It's a Central European variety that goes by a variety of names including Welschriesling in Austria, Riesling Italico in Italy and Romania, Laški Rizling in Slovenia, Rylink Vlašský in the Czech Republic, Rizling Italyanski in Serbia, and Rizling Vlašský in Slovakia. It is not related to German Riesling although it carries many of those attributes.
750ml mlVibrant peach and pear aromas underpinned by subtle minerality and floral notes lending complexity to this wine. It's well balanced with notes of lemon and almond with a slight mineral/salinity component. It would go well with duck confit, spare ribs, and white fish such as sole.
