A unique tequila that's been matured for over a year, re-distilled and then matured again in vintage Bordeaux barrels, from whence it gets its name (Burdeos means Bordeaux in Spanish). Beautiful presentation for this breathtaking spirit.

"Gran Patrón Burdeos is crafted in very limited quantities from the finest 100% Weber Blue Agave grown in the Highlands of Jalisco. Twice distilled and aged in used American and new French oak barrels, it is then finished in vintage Bordeaux wine barrels, which impart a dark amber color and a taste that´s velvety smooth with hints of vanilla and raisins."

Like all Patron Tequila, The Gran Patron Platinum is made from 100% Weber Blue Agave at the Hacienda Patron Disitllery in Jalisco. The Platinum itself is matured in oak tanks for 30 days before bottling at 40%.
Patron is a massive operation, but the company's approach to Tequila still retains some small-scale authenticity. They do this by using a large number of fermentation tanks and small copper stills that are essentially duplications of the original. This allows Patron to produce consistent, large-scale while adhering to small-batch ideals. The amount of alcohol Patron distills is impressive, but just as impressive is the company's unwillingness to cut corners or save time in the fermentation and distillation process.
