"Begins with a soft bouquet of sweet vanilla and toffee accompanied in the background by subtle, silky chocolate and layers of crème brûlée, made satisfyingly complex with rich, ripe dark fruits and walnut and almond nuttiness continuing onto the tongue. Round, thick mouthfeel dominated by a dense burst of this series’ signature taste - seductively luscious tropical fruits - elegantly balanced and lingering long on the finish."

The word that India can make world-class single malt whisky has made its way to Canada and the rest of the world over the past 20 years. Amrut led the way, making headlines for its tremendous quality. Next came Paul John, with its rich, barley-driven style. Joining those two well-regarded whiskies is Rampur.
The Rampur Asava Indian Single Malt Whisky is matured in ex-Bourbon Barrels, then finished in casks that previously held Indian wine made the Cabernet Sauvignon grape. The result is bottled at 45% ABV.

"Rampur is distilled in traditional copper pot stills in the oldest distillery in India, dating from 1943 with 80 years of distillation expertise. The Himalayas provide polar opposite of climate conditions throughout the year with the flavor of the famous Indian Summer giving Rampur an added dimension and depth."
