"Sourced from a dear gentleman named Eugenio who runs Swan Valley family estate, Vino Italia, this rosé is made from Grenache. Hand harvested, de-stemmed and left with skins on for a day, it is then basket-pressed straight to amphora and oak. Once dry, our Yokel Rosé is blended then aged in a large concrete egg called a Bacon before being bottled with just a kiss of sulphur."

Located just south of Lake Garda, in Peschiera del Garda, Veneto. Le Morette winery produces top-quality Lugana DOC white wines and reds in the Bardolino Classico DOC. Bardolino is similar to Valpolicella, with the same permitted grapes, it is a different terroir and typically a a bit lighter. The winery has about 40 hectares of sustainably farmed vines and has a “Friends of Biodiversity” certificate. It's a blend of 65% Corvina, 30% Rondinella, 5% Molinara, hand-harvested at the end of September. Fermented in stainless steel tanks, at a controlled temperature of 26°C, with an 8 day maceration with skin contact. Aged for a further two months in bottle before release.

This rose is made from 100% Pinot Noir picked from a .25 hectare plot in the Loire region of France. It is hand-harvested, then vinified and matured in steel tanks before bottling. It is an ample, fruity wine with a scintillating colour and delicious aromas reminiscent of crushed strawberries. A wine that wears the colours of summer!
The history of the domaine dates to the late Léontine Dagueneau. In the 1920s, as a widower, she bought two hectares of vines in the Loire River valley where she also grew vegetables and tended to her livestock, which consisted mainly of cattle and goats. She also made cheese alongside her wine, both of which were sought after for their quality and finesse. From here the torch has been handed down through four generations of winemakers, each of whom added their own mark on the winery and Dagueneau name.
Today, the name “Serge Dagueneau & Filles” is most often associated with the region of Pouilly-Fumé in the Loire region of France. This region is known for its high acid, dry, mineral-driven Sauvignon Blancs, but the rosé is a lovely summer tipple, all crushed wild strawberries with some grapefruit zest.

This rose from the Struma Valley in Bulgaria is made from a blend of Broad-Leaved Melnik and Melnik 55. Melnik 55 - aka Early Melnik - is a hybrid created in 1963 by crossing the indigenous Broad-leaved Melnik with French grapes Durif, Jurançon, Valdiguié and Cabernet Sauvignon. The result is a grape that ripens earlier than Broad-Leaved Melnik but maintains similar characteristics.
Mihovi Family Estate Winery resides in the Struma Valley region of Bulgaria, near the border with Macedonia to the west and Greece to the South. Mihovi is operated by father and son Stefan and Petar Mihov.
While not as well known in the Western world as France, Italy or Greece, Bulgaria has a wine-making history dating back over 4000 years to the time of the Thracians. That is slowly changing as the country fosters more ties with the European Union, allowing international trade to further develop and get the word out on how good Bulgarian wine can be.
