Nose: Apple Jolly Rancher candies, pears, bananas, vanilla, ginger, whipped cream, and a touch of mint or eucalyptus.
Palate: Fresh and fruity with nutty and salty notes. Canned peaches in syrup, apple pie a la mode, pralines, candied ginger and salted caramel.
Finish: Fresh apples and light salinity on the fade along with ginger and mint.
Comment: Like every Arran release young or old this is well made and very drinkable. If you want a slightly softer and creamier version of the Arran 10 Year Old, this is the bottle to get!

Producer Note: "Corriecravie is a hamlet just northwest of the village of Lagg that has its own secrets and stories to tell. This undulating terrain was home to some of the illicit stills that produced the infamous 'Arran water' in the days of early distilling on the island. And just near the village, there is the Torr a' Chaisteil Dun - a fort from the later Iron Age about 2000 years ago, locally known as 'Castle Hill.' With its sweeping views of the southern coastline of the island, Corriecravie is a place of beauty and intrigue that captures the essence of Arran."
"Coming to market shortly after the Kilmory, the Corriecravie Edition offers a unique twist on the Lagg Distillery spirit. After initially being matured in Bourbon barrels, this expression is finished for around six months in Oloroso sherry hogsheads sourced directly from producer Miguel Martin in Jerez. It is then bottled at 55% Vol, once again without chill filtration and with no added colouring. The result is a whisky that showcases a sweeter smoke and rich fruit notes."

The Arran 10 Year has been a staple at KWM for more than a decade. We love the fact that it is un-chill filtered and bottled without colouring at 46%. It is a great whisky for those just cutting their teeth or those in search of a great quality whisky that doesn't break the bank. The latest batches show a bit more sherry influence creeping in.

This NAS release from Arran's Lochranza Distillery spent seven years in first fill ex-Bourbon Barrels before being transferred into 125 Litre American Oak Quarter Casks for another two years of maturation. It is bottled at a cask strength of 56.2% ABV with no colouring added and unchill filtered. Current release was bottled on 26/03/21.
