This bottling apparently marks the last planned batch from Park Distillery's Exploratory Whisky Project. This fifth and final edition is from a Half Cask made of New American Oak with a #3 Char. It was filled with 100% Raw Alberta Rye spirit on May 5th of 2017 and then dumped close to four years later on April 14th, 2021. Bottled at 45% and Non Chill Filtered. 375ml Bottle.

The Rendezvous Rye from High West is a blend of four to seven-year-old rye with a high rye content in the mash bill. The two components are a 95% Rye from MGP of Indiana and an 80% Rye, 20% Malted Rye from High West Distillery itself. The result is a complex but very drinkable Rye. Bottled at 46% ABV.

High West's Double Rye! is the earthier, spicier kin of their Rendezvous Rye. It is a blend of two Straight Rye Whiskies aged between three and seven years. The younger component is everybody's favourite 95% Rye mashbill from MGP in Indiana. The older Rye is High West's own 80% Rye, 20% Malted Rye mashbill. Both of these whiskies are matured in the pre-requisite charred virgin barrels made of American White Oak. Bottled at 46% ABV.

A proper straight rye whiskey from the state of Kentucky bottled at 42.4%.
While the Michter’s name has a long and storied history, the Michter’s Distillery of Louisville, KY has only been in operation since 2015. Any whiskey bottled that is older than that was sourced from other distilleries, typically within Kentucky. Luckily, the quality of anything bottled with the Michter’s label on it is typically high, regardless of their original provenance.
Other than their single barrel products, Michter’s typically bottles their whiskey from selected small batches of 20 barrels or less.

Lot 40 was the brainchild of Mike Booth at Hiram Walker. Mike wanted to pay homage to his family's distilling heritage, and so named this 100% rye grain Canadian whisky for the plot of land where his family set up their distillery. The mashbill consists of both malted and unmalted rye. It is a recreation of a legendary Canadian Whisky Guild whisky.

"Lot No. 40 is crafted in small batches using 100% rye grain in a single copper pot still. This concentrates the spicy rye notes, while retaining the fruity and floral notes from fermentation. The whisky is then aged in virgin white oak barrels to bring forth notes of vanilla, caramel and toffee, resulting in a complex and bold whisky."
