For years we tried to get this gin in the market to no avail, and then one day it just showed up. Seems a big multinational bought it, so the good news is it's here, and at a more reasonable price than originally suspected.

Sipsmith: the first copper pot distillery in London for nearly two hundred years! Sipsmith London Dry Gin was born out of a desire to see gin production return to the city where it earned its name. With a nod to traditional hand crafted production, their gin combines traditional copper pot distillation with a recipe that wouldn't look unfamiliar to an eighteenth century Master Distiller. London Dry Gin is the quintessential expression of a classic London Dry Gin. Bold, complex and aromatic - smooth enough for a Martini, yet rich and balanced, perfect for a G&T.
Copper Stilled in Small Batches: Every drop of alcohol that goes into a bottle of Sipsmith has been distilled in copper. Copper draws out the impurities and cleanses the spirit. It’s what makes Sipsmith spirits so incredibly smooth.
One Shot Method: One of the only gins in the world to use the “One-Shot Method”, meaning we use exactly the right amount of botanicals in our distillation so that we only need to add water to bring it down to bottling strength. 99% of gins are made using a concentrate which is diluted with neutral grain spirit and water. This neutral alcohol has had no contact with copper nor the botanicals so it produces a harsher, less balanced gin.
Hand Cut: We only ever retain a tight heart cut (the highest quality) of the liquid which is cut by hand. Much like a fine single malt, it’s what delivers our uncompromising quality of spirit.

This is a 375ml bottle of the Empress Elderflower Rose Gin
The Empress Elderflower Rose Gin contains 9 ingredients including (you guessed it) both rose and elderflower as well as (of course) juniper berries. Lavender, orange peel, orris root, cinnamon bark, and coriander seeds are also in the mix. The Empress Elderflower Rose Gin is described as being slightly floral with notes of citrus and spice. It is given its signature rose/ruby hue thanks to red rose petals and black carrots.

Although the brand hints a gin's heyday at the height of the British Raj in India, the brand only dates from 1987. Its name was chosen through a competitive process which pitted Madison Avenue ad firms against each other. Botanicals include: almond, lemon peel, liquorice, juniper berries, orris root, angelica, coriander, cassia, cubeb, and grains of paradise. The spirit is triple-distilled using a carterhead still. Bombay is a more floral and soft gin than the "punchier" ones distilled in copper pot stills.
