A new 29 year old Auchentoshan distilled in 1988 and finished in PX Sherry Casks. Bottled at 49.7%. No word on the outturn, suspect it is of very limited availability!
Producer's Description: "This 29 year old vintage has been finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and selected for its superb aroma, lingering sweetness and intensity of flavour."

Nose: Aromas of stewed plums with balsamic glaze, red berries and cooked nectarines, sweet and oily. A hint of maraschino cherry liqueur, rich toffee and caramel, rose petals, cinnamon and a hint of scented wood and tannic rioja.
Palate: Corinth raisins, prunes, caramelised figs, sweet Muscat grapes, rich dark chocolate with Seville oranges, flavoured butterscotch and sweet sherry character.
Finish: Long lasting, sweet and intense with fragrant orange notes, chestnuts and sultanas.
