The heaviest ale produced by De Ranke. It has a very rich taste, coming from the six different kinds of malt used in the brewing process. These malts also give it that rich, dark, nearly black colour. The royal doses of Challenger and Saaz hops bring the typical balance between sweet and bitter.

De Ranke Kriek is real Belgian sour ale fermented with cherries and then blended with real lambic Brewery Girardin. It is unfiltered and unpasteurized. The aroma is sour cheery with some yeast. The palate has the sour cherry again, with a hint of sweetness and hop bitterness. The De Ranke brewery was founded by two good friends; Nino Bacelle & Guido Devose. To them, brewing is a weekend hobby, not an occupation. For a few hours every week they make small batches of what many consider the best specialty beers. Their beers are robust and flavorful. They use the best Hallertau and brewer's Gold varieties of hops.

The Cuvee is an ale of mixed origin like many Belgian breweries used to make. De Ranke brews a red-brown ale, which is then aged for six months, then blend in a lambic from Brewery Girardin. It's a naturally acidified ale in which the brewers strive to reach the perfect balance between sweet and sour. This amber-coloured ale contains 7% by volume alcohol and can age well.

A fantastic Christmas beer, but one that defies the universal custom of a stronger, spicier beer for the holiday season. At 7% alcohol by volume, this one is relatively lighter in alcohol than the Guldenberg, and does not pack the hop punch of the XX. It combines some of the best elements of those other two beers, with a fine balance of malt and hops, complex character, a refreshing dryness, and a gorgeous cellar aroma, but is distinguished by its festive copper colour.

A smoked bock beer for Bamberg's strong beer season (October through December). Matured for months in ancient rock-cellars underneath Bamberg and tapped freshly from the oakwood cask. Similar to, but much bigger than the classic Maerzen style.
