Leffe Blond is a pale abbey beer with a full, sunny, golden colour. It has a smooth and full bodied taste and a rich creamy head. Like all the Leffe beers, it is a "connoisseur" beer that's easy to drink. The abbey, Notre Dame de Leffe, was founded in 1152 in southern Belgium. The canons of the abbey brewed ale, and over time developed a unique ale, brewed only at the abbey.

A blend of the Goldbrau and grapefruit. Pours a pale cloudy yellow with one thin finger of head, Nose of tart grapefruit & sweet pale malt. Fairly sweet pink grapefruit cocktail-like fruitiness with moderate fizzy carbonation. It finishes smooth and crisp, the tart fruit essence rounding things out.

Orval Trappist brewery makes only one beer for the general public. It has an intensely aromatic and dry character. Between the first and second fermentations there is also an additional dry-hopping process. Through this process, the beer acquires its pronounced hoppy aroma and extra dry taste. Orval is one of the six Belgian Trappist breweries, a list that includes Westmalle, Westvleteren, Chimay, Rochefort, Orval and Achel. No other breweries are entitled by law to apply that name to their product.. The Notre-Dame d'Orval has a long history of distruction and reconstruction. The single beer they produce is probably the driest of the Trappist ales. They began brewing prior to the French Revolution, but that conflict was among the distructive events of the monestery's history.

Chimay Blanche (White), with its typical golden colour, its slightly hazy appearance and its fine head is especially characterized by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. The aroma complements the touch of bitterness. This top fermented Trappist beer, refermented in the bottle, is not pasteurized.
