John Jameson, originally from Scotland, opened the Dublin distillery in 1780 and its whiskey is now world-famous for its distinctive character and smoothness. Currently produced in Midleton by Irish Distillers, Jameson's has a pronounced pot still character and is matured in charred American Oak.

Bailey Company, no such person existed. The choice of the name Bailey was based on branding. Baileys is a cream liqueur made from a base of Irish whisky.
