Burgundy vs Blue Mountain with Stan

  • April 30, 2026
  • 7PM
  • KWM
  • $65.00
The Mavity Family planted their first vineyards near Okanagan Falls, BC, back in 1971. In 1991, they founded Blue Mountain Vineyard & Cellars, which has been producing and bottling great Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for nearly 35 years now. There is no doubt Blue Mountain creates excellent wine, can they stand against examples from the historical and fabled home of the two noble grapes? With this tasting, Stan will showcase the quality of this Canadian Winery side by side with some great examples from Burgundy. Taste them blind, vote on your favourite, and perhaps we will experience a few surprises along the way!

  • $225.00
THIS IS A VIRTUAL TASTING

Andrew's not alone in his thirst for enticing older whiskies, James Bornn has collaborated with him on this range, and will be his wingman. The range is built around 4 new arrivals from Gordon & MacPhail, including MacPhail's 40 Year Single Malt and a 1991 Glen Scotia. The other G&M bottlings are Private Collection bottlings of Glentauchers 1979 and Pulteney 1982. We had a sister cask bottling of both of these more than a year ago, and they did not disappoint... hopes are high for these too. Rounding out the range, we have a 38 year old Islay (cough Bowmore) from Whiskyland, a Decadent Drams 52 Year Blended Grain, and a 50 Year Single Grain from Moonbroch. In total this is just under 300 years of liquid history!
