Along with Inchmurrin and Inchmoan, Inchfad is one of three "Inch"es and a slew of other names/labels made by Loch Lomond Distillery. Also like many of the styles of whisky made at Loch Lomond Distillery since it started production in 1965, Inchfad gets its name from one of the islands within the freshwater lake the distillery takes its name from. This Boutique-y Inchfad is 13 years old and bottled at 49.5%.

The spirit was then matured in American oak barrels and finished in heavily charred casks, flamed by our own in-house cooperage. Inchwhatnow? The multitude of different whisky styles made at Loch Lomond Distillery can be hard to keep track of. Here is a quick cheat sheet to help with the distilleries current official bottlings (current as of July 2025 - hopefully they don't change everything a month from now):
- Inchmurrin - unpeated. Easy drinking and full of wonderful fruit salad notes.
- Loch Lomond - moderate peat. Approachable for most whisky lovers, showing off a balance between peat and fruit notes.
- Inchmoan - the heavier peat end of the spectrum.
Think of it like the story about the Three Bears, but in this case, Goldilocks breaks in and drinks all of their whisky.

Aged in three types of American Oak casks, Loch Lomond Inchmoan highlights, and gives prominence to, soft smoke with additional highlights of warming spice elements of our distillery's signature style. With enchanting wood and peat smoke notes, roasted coffee, green apple with clove and aniseed spice on the finish. Bottled at 46% and non-chill filtered to keep things as nature intended."
