The Daftmill 15 Year Cask Strength bottling contains whisky from the distillery's second year of production. To our knowledge, it is the oldest Daftmill yet to be bottled. Distilled in 2006, the whisky for this release was matured in 28 1st Fill ex-Bourbon Barrels for 15 years before bottling at 55.7%. We have a new release from Scotland's smallest distillery... I can't back up that statement about them being Scotland's smallest distillery, but it was on their website. Given there is only one man making the whisky, and he only distills when he's not farming... it is probably true. What is undeniable is that the whiskies are lovely, legitimately rare, and in my opinion, it might be one of the best batches we've seen on this side of the Atlantic!

Producer Description
"The barley variety Publican was grown in the 43ac field and harvested by John and Sandy on the 28th & 29th August 2009. It was then dried and stored on the farm to be malted in Alloa during the summer of 2010. The twenty-seven first-fill barrels, which had previously been used to mature bourbon from Clermont Springs distillery in Kentucky, were matured on the upper level of our dunnage warehouse. They were filled in June, July and August 2011 and bottled in September 2023."

Limit 2 Per Customer! The 2011 Winter Batch Release was bottled in 2024 from 27 first fill ex-Bourbon Barrels. The spirit was made from Publican barley, harvested in August of 2009 and malted in 2010. The casks were filled in December of 2011 and bottled in 2024. 46%.

We are only expecting 60ish bottles of the Daftmill 15 Year Fife Strength release. Distilled in 2009, the whisky was bottled in 2024 at 56.3% from nineteen First Fill ex-Bourbon casks and one ex-PX Sherry cask. 88.24pts Whiskybase / Limit 1 Per Customer!

"The malt used to make this whisky is from the barley variety Optic. A variety that went on to become the mainstay for the Scotch whisky industry for several years. The thirteen casks in this bottling are all first fill ex bourbon barrels distilled in January or August 2007. They were matured in the upper level of the warehouse before being bottled in July 2023 at the traditional Fife strength."
