Kettle Valley Chardonnay

Kettle Valley is a beautiful winery located on the Naramata Bench. Keeping the name of the historic Kettle Valley Railway, Bob Ferguson and Tim Watts first opened their winery doors in 1996. 40% of this Chardonnay was barrel fermented in older American and French oak giving the wine a subtle spice and vanilla flavor. Pineapple, pear and citrus flavors pared beautifully to create a flavorful, aromatic wine with a rich mouth feel.
Rochefort 8 Beer

Rochefort is actually known as Notre-Dame de Saint-Remy and is located neat the southern town of Rochefort. This monestary began brewing in 1595. Their 3 beers are ale dark and fairly sweet ales. #8 is the strong version of a brown ale. Pours solid dark brown, small off-white head with a bit of sediment. Aromas of caramel malts, a little yeast and dark fruits of raisins, dates and prunes.

Bottled at 46%, un-Chillfiltered and with no colouring added, the Arran 18 year old is created predominantly from carefully selected first and second-fill Ex-Sherry casks. Clynelish 14 Year

Although the current Clynelish distillery was founded in 1967, it's origin can be traced to it's now demolished sister distillery, Brora. Founded in 1819 it was originally known as Clynelish. Interestingly in the 18thC. it was held in such high regard that the whisky was privately sold. Today the majority of Clynelish is destined for blending, with only a small amount for bottling as single malt.
Producer Description
Clynelish whisky is closer to an Island style than other mainland malts, with a complex and fragrant nose and an agreeable, long finish that leaves a lingering fresh-fruity flavour. This 14-year-old is a less heavyweight whisky that's deliciously drinkable and makes it an excellent aperitif.

Buffalo Trace Bourbon

Buffalo Trace distillery is named after the trails of destruction that Plains Bison would leave as they moved from one place to the next. Like Eagle Rare, George T. Stagg, Stagg Jr, and EH Taylor Bourbons, Buffalo Trace Bourbon is made using the distillery's #1 Mash Bill, which is a high corn/low rye content mash in style. This means it is a very high corn content and likely at or less than 10% Rye, with 3-5% Malted Barley making up the remainder. It is purportedly aged for 8-10 years before being bottled at 45% ABV.

Torlesse takes its name from an early Canterbury resident, surveyor and farmer, Englishman Charles Torlesse. He gave his name to the Torlesse mountain range, which partly circles the Canterbury Plains, and was at one time the largest land owner and farmer in North Canterbury and the founder of the nearby town of Rangiora. Interestingly, Torlesse is also the name given to the underlying bedrock from which most New Zealand soils are derived. The Torlesse winery was built and opened in March 2000, but Torlesse has produced wines from 1991 onwards, making it one of the older wineries in Waipara. Most grapes are hand harvested, and the winemaking team is led by owners Ben & Pete Rayner, while Maggie Rayner leads the cellar door team. They have been cultivating and producing excellent wine for over 30 years.
