A few drinks, a bit of amorous chat, and suddenly - surprise! - there's a wee offspring that's got a little bit of both parties in it (though it seems neither can properly make any sort of claim). "NOMAD begins its journey in the cradle of Speyside whisky (Scotland), to continue maturing in Jerez, in the Gonzalez Byass sherry casks in their legendary cellars, thus going beyond the rules. The first 6 years will be spent in bourbon casks in Scotland, and then, the liquid will travel to Jerez where it will remain for 1 more year in old Pedro Ximénez casks.
NOMAD is the only Outland Whisky ® that completes its maturation in the unique microclimate of Jerez, under the different temperature and wind changes that this city has. The Angel's Share that this confers to the liquid is 5% versus 1.5% in its place of origin, in Scotland. This great difference gives Nomad its unique personality and its unmatched rarity."
