Wittmann 100 Hills Riesling Dry
$24.99
As early as the year 1990, the Wittmann family had converted all of their vineyards to organic cultivation. In doing this, Wittmann became one of Germany’s organic pioneers. The next step was made in 2004, with the further development of following biodynamic practises. In Biodynamics, the winegrower not only avoids use of chemical and synthetic substances like in organic viticulture, but engages himself intensively with the cosmic forces, in order to better support the dynamics of plant growth, and to be able to bring forth balanced and harmonious wines. Over the last two decades their wines have become recognized as some of Germany's finest, joining the ranks of producers like Keller, JJ Prum and Willi Schaefer.

It is the result of a deeply rooted process and never ceases to rock the wine industry: the wines have an exceptional quality and are the fruit of continual research for excellence, and an absolute respect for the land and its natural cycles, with the added bonus of a unique winemaker, an innovator and a visionary since he was a boy, when the idea of a “blend” still did not exist.

Dewar's Double Double 27 Year 375ml

This whisky was featured on Day 18 of our 2025 KWM Still Not An Advent Calendar Tasting Series! You can read more about the whisky here.
The middle child in the Dewar's Double Aged collection, this 27-year-old is maybe the sleeper in the range: its older sibling gets a lot of attention for the higher age statement, and it's younger sibling garners love for price point. The 27-year-old is where you should really be looking for quality/price ratio. This whisky is a banger!
Dewar's has told us that this has "been aged, blended together, aged again, then finished in sherry casks." This time, however, those finishing vessels were ex-Palo Cortado!
