Is it a coincidence we bottled two Gordon & MacPhail Glentauchers casks in a year? Yes, but it shouldn't be all that surprising... seeing as they are bottling some of the best whisky from the distillery. This 2000 vintage was matured 23 years in a First Fill Sherry Hogshead. We were blown away by this old-school dumpy, sherried single malt... it's a very cool dram! 55.8%.

Our 9th KWM exclusive bottling from Glenfarclas is a bottling of Glenfarclas 15 Year, at 56%. That abv is not cask strength, and nor is it random. As this is our first-ever door crasher bottling, we chose to bottle it at 56%, because the breaking occurred at 4:56 AM. There are also just 456 bottles... coincidence? Actually yes, that last one was a coincidence, we asked for roughly 450 bottles, and there are about 456!

The original Smirnoff Vodka distillery -- a favourite of the Tsars -- was started by one Pyotr Smirnov in Moscow in the 1860s. However, this mega-brand is far gone from the days of producing vodka in Russia. The brand is part of Diageo's massive alcohol portfolio and is made in numerous distilleries owned by the company. As of 2010, countries that have Diageo-operated distilleries that produce Smirnoff Vodka include Argentina, Albania, Brazil, Canada, Honduras, India, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Mongolia, the Philippines, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Smirnoff Vodka is purportedly made entirely from corn, which makes it gluten free.

This lovely example is the world's best-selling VSOP Cognac. It uses Fine Champagne grapes, and is aged twice as long as is required by law. It has a fresh, full nose, with notes of vanilla, dried rose and apricot and gentle oak. The finish is short, mellow and slightly warm.

The process of finding a product began in 1971 and it was introduced in 1974 as the first Irish Cream on the market. Despite attributions to Andrew Bailey of the R.A. Bailey Company, no such person existed. The choice of the name Bailey was based on branding. Baileys is a cream liqueur made from a base of Irish whisky. It is the perfect addition to coffee or hot chocolate on a cold day, or for use in other specialty drinks.
anCnoc 12 Year Knockdhu

anCnoc is Scottish Gaelic for 'the hill', which, in English is rendered 'Knockdhu' and should not be confused with the other distillery 'Knockando'. The brand decided to market itself under the label anCnoc to avoid confusion. Knockdhu is located in the Eastern Highlands not far from the town of Keith. The whisky has in recent years been marketed heavily as a single malt, though for most of its life it has been primarily produced for blends like Haig.
