The Original Schlenkerla Lentbeer is an unfiltered smokebeer, brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. Bottom-fermenting yeast gives the reddish brown lentbeer a natural cloudiness. Its smokey aroma is already noticeable in the smell, combined with a fine hoppy note. In the drink the fullbodied, highly drinkable lentbeer shows its strong malty flavour, rounded up with the smokey taste and a light bitterness. Due to the nourishing yeast, the Original Schlenkerla Lentbeer has the "Brotzeit already included" (German word for afternoon snack).

Greens Gluten Free Dubblel

Green's Gluten Free Dubbel Ale (ABV 7.0%) is the world's first example of this style made with no barley. It's produced from all gluten free ingredients -- water, millet, buckwheat (soba), brown rice, sorghum, hops, and yeast -- by De Proefbrouwerij in Belgium for Green's in the UK.

It pours clear dark brown with a tan head and a traditional Belgian yeast bouquet. In the classic dubbel fashion, it has hints of dark fruits, brown sugar and toffee, and is medium-bodied and moderately carbonated.

Food Pairings: Makes a fine aperitif; also great with traditional Italian antipasto, soft cheeses, gluten-free baked goods, and Belgian-style "pomme frites".

It’s no secret that our friends down at @BrewsmithBrewing are absolute wizards at producing low ABV, ultra sessionable, full-flavoured beers. We put our minds together and decided to brew something innovative yet classic. Light lager is where we landed because it is something, until now, we have yet to brew at Irrational. To put a fun twist on the beer we also wanted to try out a new-to-us hop product @YakimaChief Simcoe Noble. Analytically, Yakima Chief’s Noble Hops appear similar in character to traditional noble hops, including high aromatics and low alpha acids, while retaining Simcoe characteristics that make them unique. We went with 100% Alberta floor-malted Pilsner & Chit Malt from the barley-buffs over at @HogarthMalt and fermented low and slow with W-34/70. Expect an uber light, delicate, full-spectrum beer.

"The Averbode abbey beer pays homage to history: from the 14th to the early 20th century the abbey was home to brewing activities. For the production of the ‘new’ abbey beer, the abbey opted for Brewery Huyghe, a brewery that also boasts a rich past. But there are other similarities as well because respect for the environment and society as a whole rank among the brewery’s core values.

For instance, thanks to the Mongozo beer, Brewery Huyghe is the only brewery in Belgium to market a beer that has earned both the fair trade, gluten-free and organic labels. The brewery also actively invests in a smaller ecological footprint and social employment."
