Archives Williamson 2014
$171.99
Williamson = Laphroaig. This is the probably the most common name for indie Laphroaig that does't explicitly say 'Laphroaig' nowadays, and arguably the industry's worst kept secret. Eight years old and blindingly high abv (65.5%!) means this one will be like shaking up a hornets nest and plugging the opening with your tongue. 'Liquid inferno meets turn of the century apothecary' seems like an accurate description. We don't expect this one to last long. 89.07 Pts Whiskybase!
Natural colour, non-chill filtered, and bottled at a higher strength than most whisky ever goes into wood at.
Archives Fettercairn 2008
$161.99
We're waiting for the day that Fettercairn becomes the new 'it' thing. It's a challenging, raw, rough-n-tumble (and often kinda dirty) distillate. In other words... it's only a matter of time until Fettercairn is a buzz word.
1 of 238 bottles from Bourbon Barrel #4654. Natural colour, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 56.3%.
Archives Ledaig 2009
$209.99
If you want Ledaig-ian romance, hit up Evan. If you've already drunk the Kool-Aid (read: been initiated into the Cult of Ledaig), you probably don't need anything more than just a heads up that this one has landed. And if you're just looking to wrap your tastebuds around one of Scotland's filthiest whiskies, this is almost certainly your jam. We should mention that this one is ringing up healthy marks on Whiskybase, too. Could this be the Ledaig to make Curt come 'round? Hmmmm... 88.04 Pts Whiskybase
Hogshead 700328 had an outturn of 267 bottles.
Natural colour, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 58.2%.
Archives Secret Islay 1990

Archives Milk & Honey 2019
$161.99
Bottled a massive 66.8%, this 3 year old Israeli single malt from the Milk & Honey Distillery is from a single ex-Bourbon Barrel, filled in 2019. This Archives bottling by Whiskybase is under their Stinging Bees Range, with a Centris Flavopieta on the label.
Archives Longmorn 2012
$171.99
The indie bottlers keep Longmorn interesting for us. The distillery bottlings are few and far between (and carry slightly chubby price tags), so we scout far and wide for neat indies. This Archives 10-year-old in ex-Bourbon should be a real cracker, and is one we're hoping to open for an upcoming tasting soon. Fingers crossed.
242 bottles from Bourbon Barrel #930
Natural colour, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 57.4%
Whiskybase Ben Nevis 1996
$481.49
Bottled to celebrate Whiskybase's 15th Anniversary, this 26 year old Ben Nevis is from the legendary 1996 vintage, and has been bottled at 51.2%.
GlenAllachie 10 Yr Cask Strength Batch 9
$119.99
The 9th release of GlenAllachie 10 Year Cask Strength is again sherry forward, incorporating malts from PX and Oloros Sherry seasoned casks, as well as toasted virgin American oak and ex-Rioja barriques. 58.1%
Producer Description
“Every batch we create of our 10-year-old Cask Strength represents the direction in which we are taking The GlenAllachie,” Master Distiller, Billy Walker. The ninth iteration of our coveted decade-old batch release is no different, showcasing the richness and complexities of our honeyed spirit after maturation in the finest oak.
Guided by 50 years of experience and fuelled by his passion for wood management, Billy crafted Batch 9 with perfection in mind. A marriage of spirit from Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry casks, along with Rioja barriques and medium charred/medium toasted American Virgin Oak barrels, this mahogany malt sits proudly alongside its predecessors. Delivering classic Sherried notes of indulgent dark chocolate and dried fruits, coupled with sweet spices and red berries, this prized release is one to be savoured.
Batch 9 is bottled at natural cask strength of 58.1%, without chill-filtration or added colour.
Maltbarn Glenlossie 1992
$419.99
Glenlossie is another one of those distilleries that only ever sees the light of day through independent bottlings. Having said that, we can't recall tasting many 'Lossies at this kind of age! Exciting stuff. We're not-so-secretly hoping the boss elects to open one for a tasting soon. Very small outturn of only 143 bottles after 29 years an ex-Bourbon cask. - 88.72pts Whiskybase
Natural colour, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 49.5% abv.
