Distilled in 1996.this cask strength Ben Nevis, the 16th release from That Boutique-y Whisky Company, has been bottled to celebrate their 10th Birthday! 87.71pts Whiskybase
Producer Description
"One of the few remaining truly “old-style” producers in Scotland, Ben Nevis has arguably never been as fashionable as it is now, with certain vintages (including this 1996 example) earning devout cult followings."
About the Label
"Our label artist Emily Chappell has taken cues from our long-standing Ben Nevis label that features a chap atop Ben Nevis (mountain), looking at Ben Nevis (distillery), drinking Ben Nevis (whisky) and holding Ben Nevis (bottle, featuring the scene again on its label). Here, it’s just the mountain itself in a glass, raised in (Ben’s?) hand for a 10th birthday “cheers”"

Producer Description
"Come on now, it’s our 10th birthday, let’s pull out all the stops! Here is a treat we’ve been nurturing in our warehouses for years, a birthday celebration-worthy 25yo Clynelish (Cline-leash)."
About the Label
"Clynelish in increasingly coveted by connoisseurs, collectors and whisky explorers alike and is known for having a ‘waxy’ spirit character. Think snuffed candles or waxed jackets, a rare feature in today’s malts. This theme appears clearly on this reinterpreted Emily Chappell label along with other feline and cheeseburger themed references to the original."
Valinch & Mallet Staoisha 8 Year
$103.59
Staoisha is Gaelic for 'Not your safe and easy Bunnahabhain'. (It's not, actually, but it is a bit of a warning.) Named for one of lochs from which Bunnahabhain draws its water, the Staoisha name is reserved for a fairly robustly peated version of Bunnahabhain. It drinks almost like a tasty young Caol Ila most of the time. Good company to be rubbing shoulders with, we'd say.
258 bottles from ex-Bourbon barrel #238, only a handful of which we've managed to get our hands on.
Natural colour, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 52.2% abv.
Signatory Glenlossie 2006 58%
$204.99
After a rash of recent Signatory releases heavily doped in new-school sherry oak, it's rather refreshing to see a less adultered colour in the bottle. This one should be a real cracker. The outturn on this one was 198 bottles from ex-Bourbon Barrel #3297.
Natural colour, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 58.0% abv.

Part of the highly sought-after Supernova series, this bottling is an experimental venture into even smokier realms.
