On the palate the whisky is resinous and shows vanilla and toffee w/ some citrus notes; w/ water it becomes malty, sweet oak, sultanas and raisins appear. The finish is sweet buttery and complex. Looking forward to trying it, this is the distillery's tasting note: Golden barley in colour with a medium body. The nose is a gorgeous sweet vanilla with light woody influences followed by soft, warm honey flavours at the rear. The palate is initially woody, followed by hints of creamy vanilla with a light suggestion of tangerine zest. The palate is left feeling wonderfully cleansed and refreshed.
