The Compass Box Glasgow Blend, is the firm sherried and peated blend, inspired by the type of whiskies Glaswegians' used to prefer 100 years ago. This batch of this malt-heavy Glasgow Blend (before marrying) was 35.2% 10 year old Cameronbridge from First Fill ex-Bourbon, 34.1% 10 year old Craigellachie from sherry casks, 18.2% 8 year old Laphroaig from Refill Bourbon, 9.9% 9 year old Clynelish from First Fill ex-Bourbon, and 2.6% Highland Blended Malt from French oak.

Compass Box Great King Street Glasgow

The Glasgow Edition of Compass Box's Great King Street series is a more heavily sherried and peated blend than the original Artist's Series. The whisky has been created as a tribute to the style of blend popular in Glasgow during the 1930s.
The whisky is composed of 33% Lowland Grain with 67% malt from Islay, the Speyside and Highland. The whisky was matured in high proportion of First Fill Sherry and a mix of First and Refill American oak and a small amount of French oak.
From the Distillery: "In his 1930 book “Whisky”, Aeneas MacDonald teaches us that Glaswegians historically preferred fuller bodied and more flavour-packed whiskies than people in other parts of the world. So what better name for a whisky such as this? You’ll find here a rich vein of peaty-smokiness, underpinned by sherry cask-aged whiskies, full of dried fruit and wine character. The palate is full and round, with a sweetness typical of whiskies from our company."
About the label: "For decades, The Wellington Statue, outside Glasgow’s Gallery of Modern Art, has been cheekily topped by a traffic cone, something the local population has taken to heart as a symbol of their sense of humour. This is a game-changing whisky from Compass Box, built not from acquired aged components, but rather new make spirit acquired and filled into Compass Box own casks. Orchard House is composed of primarily Linkwood (39%), Clynelish (29%), Benrinnes (20%) and Caol Ila (2%), all from First Fill ex-Boubon Barrels, along with Highland Blended Malt (2%) from custom French oak casks and a secret Speyside single malt (8%) from Revatted Oloroso Sherry-Seasoned Butts. Hmmm, a "Distillery near the town of Aberlour" sounds a lot like Benfarclas... 46%.

Compass Box Nectarosity's core is built around seasoning American Oak barrels with grain whisky for a period of maturing and then filling them once more with Malt Whisky. After the malt component matures, it is blended with the original grain whisky component, and the Nectarosity blend is born.

"Nectarosity contains casks that we’ve been experimenting with for the last seven years. These casks are special American oak barrels that are deployed twice. First to impart sweet spice to grain spirit for one year, which finishes maturing in other casks; this becomes our parcel of grain whisky from The Girvan Distillery in the composition. Once 'prepared', the barrels age malt whisky from The Clynelish Distillery, bringing grilled apples, nutmeg and maple syrup to the party. We take these two characterful whiskies, blending them with select others to really dial up the juicy fruit and vibrant toffee notes."

The 2026 edition of Compass Box Hedonism label was designed by Australian Emma Hack featuring Scottish Actor and whisky collaborator Karen Gillan. Bottled at 46%, the vatting includes past releases of Hedonism (2024 and 2025) as well as a Blended Grain parcel, and grain whisky from Strathclyde, Port Dundas, and Cameronbridge. There was also a significant amount of Refill Sherry deployed this time around.

This original Great King Street is composed of 46% Lowland Grain, 45% Single Malt from the Northern Highlands and 9% Speyside Single Malt. 66% of the whisky was matured in 1st Fill Ex-Bourbon, 26% in New French Oak and 8% in 1st Fill Sherry. The result is a very complex, balanced and easy drinking malt.
