The 5th release is bottled at a healthy 64.2%. We have no idea how few or how many bottles of this were produced, so grab it while you can!
Rumour has it this may be the last batch of the Alberta Premium Cask Strength released in this style. Whether that means the Beam Suntory/Alberta Distillers plans on moving away from the iconic Alberta Premium Bottle for packaging, perhaps makes future editions less of a limited release, or does something else entirely remains to be seen.

Amber Mountain is the third release so far from the Maligne Range Series. Like the Tekarra and Excelsior that preceded it, Amber Mountain also takes its name from a mountain in the Maligne Range, which is in Jasper National Park. The whisky is a blend of malted barley distilled at Calgary's Last Best and mature 100% unmalted rye whisky from an undisclosed Alberta Distillery. Hmm... Batch 01 was bottled on July 21st, 2024 and bottled at 46%.

Matt & Keith sourced liquid dessert (aka PX sherry Hogshead casks) from a traditional Spanish Bodega in 2023. We utilized these beautiful casks to finish a few barrels of Wild Life single malt whisky. The resulting spirit is a wonderful expression of sherry-finished whisky: chewy dried figs, chocolate covered raisins, rounded malty notes, fruit leather and soft French oak on the finish.”
The Maligne Range Tekarra Whisky

The first core release from the Maligne Range, Tekarra is an unapologetically Canadian whisky, made partially from an Imperial Porter mashbill with Demerara sugar, matured in First Fill ex-Bourbon and Virgin American Oak casks before bottling at 48%.
The whisky was distilled at Last Best Brewing & Distilling in Calgary, though in time the brand's spiritual home will be the Maligne Distillery under construction in Jasper.

"Named after Mount Tekarra in Jasper National Park, this is a whisky of unique depth, with a bold 48% abv. It features a unique grain bill inspired by Imperial Porter (a beer style) that uses a masterful selection of malts - superior pale, crystal, dark crystal, chocolate, and midnight wheat.
