A partial cask bottled exclusive for KWM at 54.2%. This Tamnavulin was filled into an almost certainly refill ex-Bourbon Barrel in 2009, and was bottled at 10 years of age. It provoked some intense nostalgia for the Scotch Guy!

Nose: soft, honeyed and fruity; melons, Starburst fruit candies and linseed oil; toasty, with white pepper and a touch vegetal.
Palate: a touch dusty, Sun-Maid Raisins (in the wee box), more honey, French vanilla and rose petals; soft toasted oak, gentle spices and paraffin wax; more Starburst fruit candies and some late peppery spices.
Finish: warming, floral and elegant; more waxy-soft fruit tones and those Sun-Maid Raisins.
Comment: this whisky will transport you back to recess in elementary school; sitting on the edge of the playground on a warm day; your dirty little fingers coated in chalk from the gravel box around the jungle gym; tucking in and out of the tiny little box of Sun-Maid Raisins, popping them into your mouth one at a time; life is simpler than it will ever be again!"
