We switched up the name a bit, but this is the latest beer to ferment in our trusty foeder, Woody Barrelson. This sunset orange lager has aromas of oak, vanilla, white bread and slight toffee. The foeder lends some oak to the flavour profile and complements malty, floral and light pepper.

This particular beer owes much to a trip taken by Shane to Czechia last year, wherein a hop rub of different varieties inspired the use of Sladek, a cross between Saaz and Northern Brewer hops.

Two breweries with a passion for barrel-aging beer walk into a bar...have you heard this one before? No?

Okay, so, the bar was The Magnet, Vancouver's best beer bar, but the bartender there was a bit of a rock star when it came to cocktails. So we started talking about mezcal old fashioneds, and we decided to barrel-age a beer with a lot of the same flavour notes.

This beer is really cool. Thanks to our pals Tristan Stewart at Temporal and Rob Scope at Magnet for Helping us make it happen.

For our second annual Good Night Out collaboration, we've joined forces with Swift Brewing, Steel & Oak Brewing, and Rewind Beer Co. to brew something special. More than just another IPA, this beer represents our shared commitment to fostering safer spaces in our industry.

All proceeds from this collaboration support Good Night Out, a BC-based non-profit dedicated to preventing and responding to sexual harassment and assault in hospitality, music, arts, and nightlife spaces.
