This single barrel of Jamaican rum is from the Long Pond distillery. Distilled in 2000 it was bottled at 16 years at 49.3% after maturing in an Ex-Bourbon Barrel.
Jamaica is known for it’s generous use of Dunder in their rums, and thankfully, this bottle exhibits nicely. Moderately estery with a mild sweetness underneath.
