KWM 25th Anniversary 1992 Vintage Port

This 1992, 25th Anniversary vintage was produced by the house of Delaforce. The family has been in the port trade since the early 1800's and formed their Port business in 1868.  They built their reputation on vintage and aged tawny style Ports.  The Fladgate Partnership acquired Delaforce approximately 10 years ago, mainly for their aged tawny stock.  Along with the purchase of this inventory came some very fine classic vintage ports, such as this 1992. Vintage Ports are made and declared only in years of exceptional climatic and quality conditions. After bottling, they mature slowly for many years to gain the unforgettable richness that places them among the world’s greatest wines. This 1992 shows very dark opaque purple color, with a typically spicy nose and intense underlying aromas of blackberries and blackcurrants. On the palate enormous weight and structure with a marvelous balance of dense black fruit flavors and firm tannins.
