Established in 1978, Voyager Estate recently celebrated 40 years since their original plantings. All of their wines are 100% estate grown and made, reflecting the unique qualities of our place in Stevens Valley with its undulating slopes, warm summers and cooling maritime breezes. They are one of Australia’s most innovative certified organic producers of world-class Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.“Crafted from our best organically farmed blocks, this is a truly timeless wine, the result of the idyllic 2014 growing season; a perfect harmony of tightly wound, gravelly tannins, acid backbone and generous, complex fruit character. It will benefit from long term cellaring or, for the impatient, decanting.”
TIM SHAND, CHIEF WINEMAKER
Blue Mountain Gravel Force Pinot Noir
$80.99
Blue Mountain is the wild and respected territory of which the Mavety family are blessed to be the guardians. As a family business with a strong connection to the South Okanagan site, the goal of Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars is to realize the potential of the individual sites of the land in which the grapes are grown. Overlooking and tending, the Mavety’s life work is an ongoing process of creating something simple yet powerful, to be expressed in the glass and enjoyed. The philosophy of Blue Mountain is to focus on the potential of each variety, continually improving its range across Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gamay Noir, and Traditionnelle Methode sparkling wine. Blue Mountain’s strong focus on viticulture across the site allows for an increased representation of individual terroir when the grapes reach the winery.
Dom Perignon Brut
$1,027.99
Champagne Piollot Reserve
$182.99
Champagne Piollot, based in the Cote des Bars, is produced by husband and wife Roland Piollot and Dominique Moreau (who has her own Champagnes - Marie Courtin, exclusive to KWM and highly sought-after), from vines owned by Roland’s family in the Aube. Roland is the 5th generation, with the estate being founded 19th Century. It was then extended by Roland’s father, Robert. Robert’s legacy was planting the ‘Val Colas Robin’ parcel (in 1955), which produced a 100% Pinot Blanc Cuvée ‘Colas Robin’. This was incredibly rare at the time as many of Robert’s neighbours were grubbing up Pinot Blanc vines to be replanted with the more popular Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. However, it wasn’t until 1986 when Roland decided to bottle under his own family name. Farming has been organic since 2009, with a more recent move to work biodynamically. The house style is very much one of precision, and elegance.

Francois Chidaine Les Bournais Chenin
$77.99
François Chidaine is one of the Loire Valley’s great success stories. After finishing viticultural school in the mid-1980s, François went to work alongside his father, Yves, who had only four hectares of rented vineyard land in the appellation of Montlouis, in the Touraine. When Yves retired in 1989, he passed the torch to François. Early on, François developed clever contracts with the owners of the vineyards he worked, allowing him an option to buy should the property ever come up for sale. In 1999, his wife, Manuéla, joined him and set up La Cave Insolite, a tasting room and wine shop. Soon after, he started experimenting with organic and biodynamic farming, and by 2003, he was certified in both methods of farming. When in 2002, he and his cousin Nicolas Martin bought Vouvray’s prestigious Clos Baudoin, and in 2006 he bought several of the parcels he had been renting, this small artisan farmer became one of the Loire Valley’s most serious players.
