Strathcona Spirits Distillery of Edmonton, Alberta has been playing around with small batches of aged spirit for a while now, as a precursor to eventually releasing whisky down the road. This small batch of 15 month old barrel rested spirit is from a wheated mash. It was primarily aged in Virgin American Oak Quarter Casks before being finished (with a touch of rye spirit added) in Sicilian Marsala Casks. Bottled at 46.3% ABV in a 375ml medicine/flask style bottle.
