This 11 year old mystery Orkney malt (cough Highland Park) was bottled at 56.5% from a single ex-Sherry butt, originally filled in 2011. 87.82pts Whiskybase - Exclusive to KWM!

Nose: Bitter amaro, dark chocolate and stem ginger.
Palate: Immensely dense with candied orange peel, dark-chocolate-covered ginger and ground black pepper. The heather smoke rises with time.
Finish: Heather smoke, cherry sauce and cloves make for a long lingering finish.

This 14 year old Tormore was offered to us by our friends at Elixir Distillers, who purchased the distillery in 2022. While there aren't currently any official distillery bottlings, this cask was part of the distillery purchase, and is technically a Tormore Distillery cask, bottled by the distillery owner. Bottled under the Single Malts of Scotland label, the whisky was filled into a fresh ex-Bourbon Barrel in 2010, and bottled in late 2024 at 55.7%. Only 216 total bottles!
