This Notable Age Statement bottling from Decadent Drinks was created by marrying two First Fill Sherry Butts. 53%.
Producer Description
"This bottling is composed of a 1st fill sherry butt of 2001 blended malt and a 1st fill sherry butt of 2006 Aultmore. The resulting, multi-vintage mix was bottled with slight reduction at 53%. This is our attempt to create an older style, sherry matured malt whisky profile. Designed to be easy, fruity and highly drinkable with plenty of classical, earthy and elegant sherry character."

Producer Tasting Note
Nose: stunningly rich and full of detailed, polished dark fruits. Lots of rancio, cigar humidor, walnut oil, camphor and prune eau de vie. Also lighter fruit notes of apricot, guava, honey and soft, mulchy earthy notes.
Palate: similarly and immediately stunning. Gorgeously rich, fruity, honeyed and earthy with layers and layers of tobaccos, rancio, dark chocolate and mulchy earthiness.
Finish: long, on crystalised fruits and dark fruits in syrup. A rusticity that nods towards similarly aged Armagnac at times.

This 58 year old Armagnac is a Bas Armagnac from Chateau du Gaube, distilled in 1963. It has been bottled under Decadent Drinks' Notable Age Statement range at 46.3%.

"This edition of our Notable Age Statements series is a 10 year old, cask strength and powerfully sherried Mortlach! It was filled into refill hogsheads in 2012, aged for just under 8 years, then consolidated and re-racked into 1st fill sherry butts. This butt was bottled at 48.5% for our Equinox & Solstice Winter 2022 edition, and also at natural cask strength for this edition of Notable Age Statements. It's a massive, dense and boisterously sherried example, full of Mortlach muscle and meatiness, but also bags of coffee, bitter chocolate and gloopy dark fruits."
