Fernandes is an uncommon marque from TDL, at least as far as independent bottlers are concerned. What we have seen, however, has been quite tasty, and this is no exception. Batch 2 from Boutique-y Rum is 17 years old, and bottled at a whopping 66%abv!!

Nose: Vanilla and butterscotch, and a wet clay note, intertwine with fusel oil and rubber. Fresh nectarine.
Palate: Lots of toffee, vanilla, and a big slice of treacle tart!
Finish: Warming. White peppery warmth, and more rubber. Gentle marzipan and milk chocolate. Tannic oak and the very end.”
