Mid-level peated malt from western Isle of Skye. This non-age stated Talisker seems to be a variant on Port Rhuighe, but cranked up to 59.7% abv. This one should be an absolute powder keg!

Hopes are high for this one, despite the jawdropping price... we have have several Taliskers from Hunter Laing in recent years, and they have all been excellent. Bottled from a single refill Sherry Butt (HL 19722) filled in 2011, and bottled after 11 years at 50%.
This one has a good early score of 88.75pts on Whiskybase!

Hm. Don Julio Añejo Tequila Cask Finished Lagavulin. Like splashing a cactus with wet bandaids, salt water, and smoked seaweed. You may recall a Mezcal-finished Kilchoman we did a couple years back? People still come knocking for that one, because, love it or leave it, there's nothing out there like it. Don't miss out on this release. Guaranteed to be one to have tongues wagging.
