Doc Swinson’s has stood out for us at KWM amongst a slew of other NDPs (Non-Distillery Producers) thanks to their consistently strong releases and deft cask finishing. This 16 Year Old Bourbon spent 12 years aging in the typical heavily charred virgin oak barrels. The whisky was then transferred to casks which once held Madeira for another four years. The folks at Doc Swinson’s weren’t planning for this project to become a 16-year-old, but then the Covid hit the fan and the production of hand sanitizer pushed all other concerns to the side. That is the reason for this release being called the Forgotten One.

Bottled at 49.35%. Only 275 bottles, with 3 coming to KWM!
