Shawn and Andrew sampled this at the Whisky Show London last year, and knew they had to have it... This 10 year old Craigellachie is a beast, bottled at 68.9% after maturing in a Sherry Butt.

Nose: The neat nose shows dark-chocolate-chip-and-gingershortbread. Adding a few drops of water brings out the fruit:sangria-macerated apple slices left over in the jug and overripe pineapple slices.
Palate: The chewy edges of an apple Danish pastry and dark chocolate honeycomb pieces change to crisp, gingery brandy snaps, with calvados-poached orchard fruits. A dram of two halves!
Finish: The finish is long-cooked apples, lightly dusted with cinnamon sugar, tail off to a sharp citrus tang.

Distilled in 2007, this 15 year old Craigellachie was matured in a Sherry Butt before bottling at 50%.

Craigellachie has some of the best packaging in the biz, no two ways about it. Not only is the branding for their age-stated range straight out of the 1800s, but the whisky in the bottle seems almost as archaic. And we mean that in the best possible way. And those age statements? All prime numbers! So far we've seen a 13, 17, 19, 23, 31 and 51. Love it! Expect a chewy, malty experience from days gone by. A bit more challenging, and meant for the true afficionado.

From the 'A Cask Noir Production' series with those wicked retro labels, a neat Craigellachie, and one of the most interesting cask types we've seen to date. In fact, we had to look it up. This was matured in a First Fill Pacherenc Barrique, a sweet white wine. Intriguing, to say the least. Only 262 bottles from cask #315065.
Natural colour, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 52.3% abv.
