This sherried Benrinnes is bottled at 48% after maturing in a very small batch of Refill Sherry Hogsheads. It was distilled in 2009.

Nose: Sitting on a soft, worn leather armchair while sipping ona Manhattan - this is all cherries and spice! Sandalwood,clove, cinnamon all invite you to enjoy this dram.
Palate: Chocolate and cherry abound and take on the richness of a black forest gateau topped with almond slivers. Ginger snaps with a cup of coffee balances the sweetness, and only adds to its moreish quality.
Finish: This is a beautifully intense, spicy finish that fades to cherry cola and black peppercorn.

From Speyside, this 16 year old spent 13 years in an ex-bourbon hogshead before being transferred to a 1st fill PX ex-bodega barrique.

This is our first-ever KWM-selected single cask from Benrinnes Distillery. Only 199 total bottles, from an ex-Bourbon Barrel filled in 2010, and bottled after 11 years at a natural cask strength of 56%!

Gilles Dumangin doesn't make things easy on himself when he wraps his whiskies in wine. He has a habit of stacking the deck against himself by picking distilleries that boast some of the most challenging profiles in all of Scotch Whisky: Benrinnes, Ardmore, Fettercairn, Craigellachie. These aren't exactly the most mild-mannered of malts. It's a testament to the man's craft. I love the whole 'if you're going to swing, swing for the fences' mentality.
This Benrinnes spent 10 years in a Refill Hogshead before 23 months in Ratafia Champenois.

Filled into cask on the 23 of September in 2010, the whisky was bottled after 12 years in January of 2023, after finished in First Fill Oloroso Sherry Butts. Bottled at 46% without colouring or chillfiltration.
