It can't be named on the bottle, but this is a Highland Park, distilled in 2008, the whisky is a marriage of two sherry butts and two ex-Bourbon barrels, bottled after 13 years at 48%. Exclusive to KWM!

Nose: Fresh peppermint leaves create a cooling herbaceousness that mingles with elegant heathery smoke. Velvety dark chocolate takes centre stage with the soft, grassy smoke remaining in the background.
Palate: Florentine biscuits fresh from the oven, bring to the fore sweet golden syrup, bright candied ginger, cinnamon and dark chocolate. Smouldering heather wafts across the palate but it doesn’t pull focus from the lusciousness of spice and chocolate.
Finish: Morello cherries steeped in syrup are served with a dollop of cream and freshly dark chocolate shavings. A freshly brewed peppermint tea keeps the dram beautifully balanced as it finishes long and fresh.

Orkney, you say? Two operating distilleries produce Single Malt Scotch on the Orkney Isles, and this ain't from Scapa. That's right, this is 15 Year Old undisclosed HP Sauce! That's Highland Park for those of you that don't speak Evan. Matured in ex-Bourbon Barrels and bottled at 46%.

Probably Highland Park, but there is chance it could be Scapa. The distillery closed for refurbishments in 2005, but when did it reopen? The tasting note sounds like Highland Park, but there is no mention of smoke? The plot thickens! Distilled in 2006, matured in a Refill Hogshead and bottled at 50%.
