"Here at Decadent Drinks we are all about data! This gorgeous 2007 Glenlivet has been bottled in special celebration of our precious pile of data that we keep in a secret cupboard! Matured full term in a 1st fill sherry sherry hogshead, this 13 year old Glenlivet was originally up around 65% at cask strength, so we brought it all the way down to 53% as we felt it revealed a much easier, juicier and more despicably fruity profile at this strength. The label artwork for this release celebrates all the hours the Sponge spends tirelessly toiling away in the ancient data mines of the Whiskynet - harvesting numbers for the great spreadsheet which must be updated and refined eternally."

“Nose: wonderfully dense, dark, and fruity. Full of sticky raisins, date, sultanas, and fruit cake. Also, old Armagnac, chocolate, and tobacco. Rich, layered, clean and classically sherried. Palate: a terrific full bodied sherry profile. Works really well at this bottling strength and shows off all the softer, fruitier tones of this cask, but leaves intact lots of spices, dark chocolate, chewy tobacco and earth richness. Finish: long, earthy, balanced and nicely drying. Still a lot of dark, sticky fruits, tobaccos, and leafy notes.”

This was the oldest bottle of whisky ever bottled, for a little over a year and a half, and it is exclusive to KWM in Alberta! Only 4 of the 250 decanters produced are destined for Canada. Distilled February 3rd, 1940, at the Glenlivet Distillery, the whisky was filled into a First Fill Sherry Butt, and matured 80 years before botlling on February 5, 2020, at 44.9%. It isn't inexpensive, but it is stunning, and beautifully presented! 93pts Angus @ Whisky Fun!

Replacing the 12 year French Oak Cask is the Glenlivet 15 Year, matured in new French oak casks. It is beautifully structured with all the fruit and spice of the original, yet is slightly more woody and sweet. Well-balanced with a long, creamy finish. Very Nice!
