Distilled in 1996 and matured in an Oloroso Sherry Cask, this 25 year old Millstone is a gorgeous old-school sherry bomb. Bottled to celebrate That Boutique-y Whisky Company's 10th Birthday at 46.5%.

"Holy Moly Millstone! We’re HUGE fans of this distillery, and stunned that Patrick Zuidam would share this magnificent 25 Year Old single malt with us. This Millstone is a true birthday treat from The Netherlands! A 25 Year Old single malt, distilled in 1996, the very start of their whisky making history. This whisky has spent its life quietly maturing in an Oloroso Hogshead, and we’ve bottled it at natural cask strength (CS) 46.5% abv."
About the Label
"The inspiration from this label comes from a scene straight out of Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory. Willy Wonka has been replaced by th wonderful Patrick van Zuidam. The landscape includes all the big landmarks from the film but the river and waterfall is whisky instead of chocolate. The candy plants have been replaced with whisky-related items too!"

Nose: Big, bold, and powerful. Blackcurrants, Black cherry, leather, figs, stewed fruits, and all manner of sherried fruits. There’s a vintage port note to this too.
Palate: This is an exceptionally complex whisky! All of the sherried fruits, with bitter dark chocolate. coffee grounds, a rich dark cherry liqueur. Spectacular!
That Boutique-y Whisky Company (TBWC) is part of the Atom Group, which also owns the UK retailer Master of Malt and a number of other subsidiaries. They are a dynamic and innovative firm, who by example invented the Whisky Advent Calendar concept. Established in 2012, TBWC is famous for its playful and colourful labels, which often feature prominent whisky industry figures, tell a story, and or elude to an inside joke. The labels are typically laced with hidden elements and "Easter Eggs."
TBWC bottles whiskies from around the world, though the bulk of their offerings are of Scottish origin. Most of their offerings are small-batch releases, Blended Malts, and Blends. Their "Head of Whisky" is Canadian Sam Simmons.
