Hard to beat the price on this Miltonduff... and it looks sherried! Bottled at 50.3% after 10 years of maturation, this is the 5th release of Miltonduff from That Boutique-y Whisky Company.

Producer Description

"Our fifth batch from the Miltonduff distillery is a 10 Year Old, drawn from a single butt laid down in November 2018. It’s a release of just 731 bottles at 50.3% abv. Miltonduff is one of the three signature malts of Ballantine's Blended Scotch Whisky, so it’s rarely seen as a single malt. Miltonduff has also been associated with Teacher’s and Old Smuggler in the past. The house style is described as fresh and floral, and perfect for adding top notes to a blend."

Producer Tasting Note

Nose: Floral, fruity and honeyed with hints of fudge whilst lemon rind balances all the sweetness.

Palate: Warm apple pie with a sugared flaky pastry, cinnamon and vanilla ice cream.

That Boutique-y Whisky Company (TBWC) is part of the Atom Group, which also owns the UK retailer Master of Malt and a number of other subsidiaries. They are a dynamic and innovative firm, who by example invented the Whisky Advent Calendar concept. Established in 2012, TBWC is famous for its playful and colourful labels, which often feature prominent whisky industry figures, tell a story, and or elude to an inside joke. The labels are typically laced with hidden elements and "Easter Eggs."

TBWC bottles whiskies from around the world, though the bulk of their offerings are of Scottish origin. Most of their offerings are small-batch releases, Blended Malts, and Blends. Their "Head of Whisky" is Canadian Sam Simmons.
