This Finnish malted rye whisky was matured initially in Virgin American oak, before finishing in a First Fill ex-Bourbon barrel. Batch 1 for That Boutique-y Whisky Company, the whisky was bottled at 53.1%.

"Yet another brand new label, for our first ever batch from the Finnish distillery, Kyro. This is a 100% whole grain malted rye, that went into a new American oak cask for two years before being re-racked into a first fill bourbon barrel for the remainder of its maturation. It seems like every Finnish whisky distillery starts life in a sauna, and Kyro is no different! Surprisingly, the idea of starting their own distillery still seemed like a good one the following morning and from there, the journey of Kyrö began."
About the Label
"You’ll probably recognise where we took our inspiration for our Kyro label, as it’s a picture they’ve used a few times before. We’ve just boutiquey-fied it it a little. The founders of Kyro are in a rye field running towards their distillery."

Nose: Vanilla creams, caramel, chalk dust, dried apricot, rye bread dough earthiness, fresh rain on dry ground; petrichor.
Palate: Sweet, malty, toasted rye bread, earthy honey, red berry fruit notes. Hints of coffee linger in the finish. Spectacular!
That Boutique-y Whisky Company (TBWC) is part of the Atom Group, which also owns the UK retailer Master of Malt and a number of other subsidiaries. They are a dynamic and innovative firm, who by example invented the Whisky Advent Calendar concept. Established in 2012, TBWC is famous for its playful and colourful labels, which often feature prominent whisky industry figures, tell a story, and or elude to an inside joke. The labels are typically laced with hidden elements and "Easter Eggs."
TBWC bottles whiskies from around the world, though the bulk of their offerings are of Scottish origin. Most of their offerings are small-batch releases, Blended Malts, and Blends. Their "Head of Whisky" is Canadian Sam Simmons.

This Rye Whiskey from Ross & Squibb Distillery is aged for at 5 years before being bottled at 47% ABV. The Rossville Union Rye Whiskey is purportedly a blend of Ross & Squibb's 51% Rye and legendary 95% Rye mash bills.
Formerly known as MGP - this prolific Indiana Distillery has recently been rebranded as the Ross & Squib Distillery. Initially founded in 1847 as the Rossville Distillery, Ross & Squibb resides in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and was known to be the source of quality Bourbon and Rye Whiskey barrels with an extensive variety of mash bills before the company behind it started bottling under its own brand names. Ross & Squibb is one of three distilleries under Luxco Brands - the others being Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown, Kentucky and Limestone Branch Distillery in Lebanon, Kentucky.

"Yet another new label for our first ever back from Denmark’s Fary Lochan distillery. It’s a small family distillery, now run by three siblings, and their mother. The distillery is named after the lake on the plot and an ancient spelling of the town, Farre, it’s located in. Founder Jens-Erik Jorgensen, who sadly died in 2016, found inspiration from memories of smoked cheese from his mother used to smoke over fresh nettles. Jens-Erik made his first tests of smoking his whisky-malt with nettles in 2009."

"When we learnt that the distillery was located in the village of Farre (which was previously known as Fary) we had that far far away fairy tail image in our head, and so our label is based up on an old style fairy tale woodland glade and a small glistening lake."

Located in the village of Santa Maria, on the border of Switzerland and Italy, at an altitude more than twice that of Ben Nevis, the distillery has been built into his home."
About the Label
"All of the distillery equipment, apart from the still, was designed and built by Gunter. The power source for the distillery is an array of solar panels on the roof. Gunter primarily uses specially coopered 100 litre casks made from Ex-Bourbon staves, and Ex-Sherry heads."

"This, our second batch is another 3 Year Old and hails from a new American oak cask, to the heaviest char available, also known as ‘Crocodile Toast’ as the inside of the cask is charred so deep that it resembles the cracked skin of a crocodile. Our first batch from this Bavarian distillery was awarded a Gold medal at The Spirit Business World Whisky Masters, and has always surprised people when told; where it’s from, and how old it is."

"Our label features a scene from a Bavarian beer festival, in October, or Oktoberfest if you will. That’s Slyrs’ head distiller Hans with the whisky glasses, and you might recognise the punter with a bottle of this bottling asking him a question."
