Nose: A sweet nose with apples, vanilla and honey.
Palate: Malted barley on the palate with vanilla, toffee and pears.
Finish: The finish is long and sweet with gentle oak.

We wanted to be mad at this whisky. Because, let's face it, the 'Islay Tax' is steep enough on this one to almost be laughable.
But then we got to taste it.
The heavens opened, angels trumpeted, and our bank accounts shriveled.
Incredible dram in a style rarely seen nowadays, and even more rarely executed at this level.
Distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2021 at 14 years of age. An oddly small outturn, this sherry butt (HL18209) yielded a mere 293 bottles.
Natural colour, non chill-filtered, and bottled at 58.8%
