Bottled as a part of the Single Malts of Scotland Marriage Series, this Jura is 29-year-old Jurawas produced from a batch of five ex-bourbon barrels that were filled between 1991 and 1992, before being bottled at 42.9%.

Words alone can't express how happy we are that this whisky hasn't been shuffled through half a dozen or so cask types before bottling, as is usually the way with Jura (and a few other brands under the family's umbrella). Ex-Bourbon maturation and more than two decades of slumber tell us that this saline little malt from the Isle of Jura's only distillery should be a real cracker. We also appreciate the 46.7% bottling strength.

A recent addition to the Jura range, this 14-year-old has been matured in ex-Bourbon and ex-Rye barrels. Expect a bit of spice, salinity, and nuttiness on this one.
