From Edition Spirits (Hunter Laing) comes this 31-year-old Blair Athol as part of their illustrious Authors' Series. It's not often we see high age statement Blair Athol, as there is no official range being released by the disillery's owners, so instead we look for cool indie bottlings like this one. 

Replete with an image of Austrian author and dramatist Arthur Schnitzler (yeah, we didn't know either; thank goodness for Google), this is unquestionably one of the best Blair Athol we've had in the shop. Almost gone!

The outturn from Sherry Hogshead #18442 was 236 bottles. Natural colour, non chill-filtered, and bottled at 45.6%.
