Inchgower doesn't get enough love. It's one of Diageo's invisible distilleries, with most of its production destined for Bells Blended Whisky. Official bottlings are as nearly as scarce as hen's teeth. A tired cliche, I know, but quite apropos. Fortunately, we've seen a handful of really cool indie bottlings over the last couple years, such as this 1998 from First Editions. Not a bad price for a cask strength 23-year-old.
Only 120 bottles from Refill Hogshead HL18466.
Natural colour, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 55.4% abv.

Producer Tasting Note
A nose of fresh, rich fruits and chocolate. The palate is sweet, with notes of strawberries, pears, and salted caramel. The finish is long and sweet, with some pleasant lingering oak.
