"Our fourth batch from this unnamed Tennessee distillery is a 4 Year Old Straight Rye Whisky, a release of just 331 bottles at 45% abv. Sadly we’re not able to name this distillery, but you’ll notice it’s definitely labelled as a Tennessee whisky which narrows it down an awful lot! Whiskey production has a rich history in Tennessee that only just survived both national prohibition and a longer statewide prohibition."
About the Label
"Tennessee whiskey must be filtered through charcoal (this filtering step is known as the Lincoln County Process) prior to aging the whiskey. Our label features a whole load of sugar maple on fire, making charcoal, in some sort of hollow - another clue? There’s also a familiar face if you're up to date on your zombie apocalypse television dramas, and there’s also one of our shockingly bad puns."

Nose: Ripe Papaya with a splash of lime, and blackboard chalk dust/rubber. Creamy vanilla notes follow with hints of clove and anise.
Palate: Sweet and oily initially. A short spicey build up follows while delicate fruit flavours; papaya and apricot interplay with wood spices.
Finish: Peppery, sweet, and the apricot lingers.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company (TBWC) is part of the Atom Group, which also owns the UK retailer Master of Malt and a number of other subsidiaries. They are a dynamic and innovative firm, who by example invented the Whisky Advent Calendar concept. Established in 2012, TBWC is famous for its playful and colourful labels, which often feature prominent whisky industry figures, tell a story, and or elude to an inside joke. The labels are typically laced with hidden elements and "Easter Eggs."
TBWC bottles whiskies from around the world, though the bulk of their offerings are of Scottish origin. Most of their offerings are small-batch releases, Blended Malts, and Blends. Their "Head of Whisky" is Canadian Sam Simmons.

A proper straight rye whiskey from the state of Kentucky bottled at 42.4%.
While the Michter’s name has a long and storied history, the Michter’s Distillery of Louisville, KY has only been in operation since 2015. Any whiskey bottled that is older than that was sourced from other distilleries, typically within Kentucky. Luckily, the quality of anything bottled with the Michter’s label on it is typically high, regardless of their original provenance.
Other than their single barrel products, Michter’s typically bottles their whiskey from selected small batches of 20 barrels or less.

Sourced from a certain famous distillery in Indiana (MGP), this straight Rye is made from a mash bill of at least 51% Rye and aged for at least two years. Bottled at 45%, this Minor Case Rye started with a mash bill composed of 51% Rye, 45% Corn and 4% malt and was then first matured in your typical charred new American Oak barrels before spending around a half year finishing in sherry casks sourced from an Ohio winery.
Minor Case was (believe it or not) the name of M.C. Beam, a member of the fabled Beam family that has put their hands on many of the whiskey famous stills within Kentucky and beyond. The Minor Case Rye is finished and bottled by Limestone Branch Distillery of Lebanon, Kentucky.

This Rye Whiskey from Ross & Squibb Distillery is aged for at 5 years before being bottled at 47% ABV. The Rossville Union Rye Whiskey is purportedly a blend of Ross & Squibb's 51% Rye and legendary 95% Rye mash bills.
Formerly known as MGP - this prolific Indiana Distillery has recently been rebranded as the Ross & Squib Distillery. Initially founded in 1847 as the Rossville Distillery, Ross & Squibb resides in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and was known to be the source of quality Bourbon and Rye Whiskey barrels with an extensive variety of mash bills before the company behind it started bottling under its own brand names. Ross & Squibb is one of three distilleries under Luxco Brands - the others being Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown, Kentucky and Limestone Branch Distillery in Lebanon, Kentucky.

The second batch of Helsinki Distilling Rye bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company was made from a mash of 70% Rye and 30% malt, and matured 6 years in virgin American oak before bottling at 58.9%.

"Our second batch from Finland’s Helsinki distillery is a 6 Year Old rye whisky, from 70% malted rye, and 30% malted barley mashbill. It’s been matured for full term in a new, charred, (char level 3) American oak cask. Low year round temperatures in Helsinki year round leads to a slower interaction with wood. This presents a preferable situation for maturation in powerful, first fill casks."

"Our label shows the distillery in one of its former guises; a car wash. The Monopoly cars are a reference to the strict Finnish alcohol monopoly ‘Alko’."
