Our second KWM exclusive single cask of Tomatin was Distilled in 2006, and matured in a Recharred American Oak Hogshead cask (#33283) for 14 years before bottling at 57.1%. 297 total bottles.

Nose: soft, doughy and toasty; vanilla, white chocolate, almonds and citrus: lemon, lime and orange rinds; wine gums; decadent and floral with chewy malt.
Palate: thick, honeyed and coating; it is warming with Demerara sugar, vanilla extract and crisp decadent spices; more juicy malt and loads of citrus; more wine gums and strawberry Twizzlers.
Finish: medium in length, soft, coating and spicy; fading honey, vanilla, citrus, floral tones and toasted oak.
Comment: decadent, juicy and refreshing, this is a lovely addition to our stable of KWM exclusive whiskies; it is also excellent value!

Bottled at 46%, the revered Tomatin 18 year old is finished 3-4 years in ex-Oloroso Sherry Butts after primarily maturing in mostly in ex-Bourbon casks.

Distiller's Tasting Note
Aroma: Honeydew melon, red berries, baked apples. Rich toffee, butterscotch. Sweet honey and bitter dark chocolate.
Taste: Fruit and nut. Peaches, apricots, mango and plum. Mixed walnut and pecan.
FInish: Smooth fruit salad which lingers on the palate.
