Bottled under the XOP Black line by Hunter Laing, this 25 year old Bowmore was bottled at 46.9% after maturing in a Refill Hogshead. Only 3 bottles are coming to KWM!

Producer Description

"Packaged in a luxury gift box with gold foil detail, each bottling is drawn from single cask, proudly offered without colouring or chill-filtration and at natural cask strength. The individually-numbered bottle features a heavily-embossed, metallised logo, and each gift box contains an individual certificate, hand-signed by Fred and Cara Laing. This expression is from the Bowmore Distillery and has silently slumbered in a Refill Hogshead since it was distilled in May 1995. Only 302 bottles are available globally at a Natural Cask Strength of 46.9%.”

Producer Tasting Note

Nose: NOSE Fresh with a salty / maritime style, developing to barley and just a hint of peat smoke and iodine.

Palate: Wonderfully balanced - that typical Islay meaty / charcoal style alongside muscovado sugar, marmalade and vanilla cream.

Finish: Lingering with puffs of smoke and dry earth with a warming, spiced oak character.
